Smax, I wanted to say that iTunes imports WMA's now. I was sure I had read
that somewhere. But I tried the one I have (kept for sentimental reasons), and
I couldn't drag it into iTunes' main window or "import" it. I just tried with a couple
randomly snatched from LimeWire, and they wouldn't go in, either. That may be
due to my having PPC's Macs under 10.4.11 -- YMMV with Wintel and 10.5.

As for converters, the OP wanted free. I know a couple that are cheap: Switch
was $28 last I looked.
