Actually I think some apps may be the cause of my dropped calls. My wife and I purchased our first iphones last Fall. Over the months I've been downloading utility, production, games and streaming live apps for our phones. The phone calls worked fine with an occasional drop (not sure which end of the call dropped) until I downloaded several streaming apps such as traffic alerts, tv and radio apps. weather apps, etc. Most of the phone calls I made or received in the past couple of weeks required at least 4-5 call backs to finish a conversation due to the calls dropping mid sentence. Last Wednesday I removed all the apps from my phone that weren't preloaded. Since then I've been able to make calls up to 20 minutes without the calls dropping.

I'm wondering if others had this problem and figured out it might be certain apps creating the problem? I'm going to slowly reload the apps over the next couple of weeks but my guess is some of the streamers are nothing but steamers when it comes to interfering with phone calls. In the end I may have to limit the amount of streaming apps I load in the phone at one time.

Hello people,

I've read a couple of months back (if memory serves me right) about an app reviewed on macworld regarding monitoring of the user's application usage, keys typed, time used idle etc...

The purpose of the app could come in handy big time for my small company to make sure my employees do their job properly.

What app can you recommend (if any exist).

PS: I don't need the app to make too many "whistles and noises" as i don't want any disruption on my macs.

Thanks,

I was given one of these cute relics a couple of weeks ago. It had OS 9 on it, which I have no experience with. My first notion was to take the hard drive for another laptop, but after removing it I changed my mind. I decided ti install Panther so I could use the iBook as a netbook for travel.( I hate taking my MacBook out of the house).

Anyway, when I put it all back together I had a problem. The thing will fire up, HHD spins, keyboad LEDs light up, but the monitor remains black, and there is no chime.

The only thing I did different was not to reinstall the modem because I intend to use it wirelessly.

I thought it was a memory issue, but that is soldered to the logic board, and when I put an extra 32mb in with no effect.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
