Hey everyone I bought a Macbook pro 13.3 inch a few weeks ago, interested in overclocking it. I know this will void warranty and can cause overheating. I want to know what kind of gains to expect when oc a 2.4 intel 2 duo core? This will be done to a machine dual booting with windows 7 via bootcamp. Will the processor be oc'd all the time no matter which partition I boot into? I don't want to have to use thermal paste. Can people who have experience with this give me some pointers? Different ways of doing it and the pros and cons? Links of instructions are always nice

Hi,

I am running iTunes 10 on a Windows PC (Dual core 2.66GHZ, 4GB RAM, Windows XP Media Center). I have approximately 1.5TB in my media library. It has 2 AppleTVs (v1) attached over a wireless network (N). I have no content synced to the AppleTVs, I stream 100% from the PC.

Since I upgraded to iTunes 10, I am noticing that after we watch something new on the TV, iTunes and the AppleTV get into a 10-20 minute sync process which uses 100% of the CPU on my PC, rendering both it and the AppleTV useless for the duration.

I have a couple of questions, if anyone can help.

1. Anyone seen this before and has any ideas hoe to fix it?
2. What is being synced between the 2 devices considering I do not sync.

BTW, they way I have the AppleTVs set up is Manual Sync is enabled, and I have unchecked ALL the tabs, so nothing is actually selected for syncing. Before I upgraded I had the same setup and this did not happen.

Thanks in advance. This is quite frustrating.

Hey, all. Looking for a little assistance using the Photo Sharing feature (not syncing) on AppleTV.

I've set up things the way the Apple instructions indicate, and "Shared Photos" does not appear under the "Photos" menu on my AppleTV as expected. Here are the details:

--OS X 10.6.4
--AppleTV software 3.0.2
--iTunes 10.0
--iPhoto '09 8.1.2

Per the instructions, within iTunes I turned on Home Sharing. I then went to "Choose Photos to Share" and indicated the entire iPhoto library. I expected that a "Shared Photos" would appear under the "Photos" menu after those steps, but it didn't.

I un-paired my AppleTV from iTunes, and re-paired, still with no success. I also went into the iPhoto preferences to turn on sharing, though that seems a superfluous step to the Home Sharing option (and is a step not mentioned at all in the Apple instructions).

Is there something else I should be doing?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I sync my many itunes libraries with dropbox and powertunes, storing my hundreds of gigs of media on NAS. Problem is, lately apps are taking up too much space in my folder for the library that I use to sync my idevices (I don't want to spend $99 a year for more dropbox storage since I already pay for me.com). But I do not currently see a way to offload my apps to my external media folders. Anybody out there know how to do this, or is it currently impossible? I'm sure there is a simple solution I have overlooked. But if it's not possible I'm probably going to migrate my libraries to glide, since there's 30gb of free storage available there. But since that will take some hours I'd rather avoid it if possible. Thanks in advance.
I have an Intel Based Mac Pro running on Leopard OS10.5.8.
Which web cam would you recommend that would best without any compatibility issues on it?
I plan to sign up for a Skype account, and would prefer the least amount of issues associated with web cams.
Any particular issues with LogicTech web-cams? What features should I look for?
